Who I Am

I'm a lot of things. A talent manager, a mom, an animal-lover, a coffee-lover, and a Dodgers fan. I love Southern California - the weather, the palm trees - and the thrill of working in the amazing entertainment industry! I love seeing filming on the street! I love the thrill of theatrical bookings! And, most days, I love being a talent manager -- the thrill of the hunt, successes, and the good surprises! I love eager clients who have not been discouraged by the harsh reality of an industry that produces hits and misses, successes and failures, sometimes without rhyme or reason. I love clients who listen and learn and work hard.

I started managing years ago, in Atlanta. I managed only 1 actor then, and sought opportunities, found agents, and made sure pictures were up-to-date for her. I also drove her to auditions and bookings, hung out on-set, packed snacks, and made sure audition clothes were clean. My one client was my sweet child. Once we moved to LA, I continued managing just her for awhile, under another manager, who showed me the ropes - how to "read" a breakdown, how to pitch, how to submit. I then grew to managing many more and I've worked for a handful of other companies, including my own, growing with each new opportunity.

I've realized, after watching talented, driven actors walk into my life and then turn right around and walk back out at the first sign of us not seeing things the same, that I am probably better suited to helping actors who are really looking for answers and changes, rather than assurances and platitudes. Actors who want to put themselves in a better position for success. Not necessarily looking for a manager, but looking for the tools and skills that make a manager want to manage them. Instead of getting a fish, you learn to fish.

I am honest and direct, and that's a large part of what I bring to the table. Any client of mine needs to understand that at the very beginning. I know actors can be fragile and egocentric, but I also believe that by the time you've reached adulthood you are somewhat of a whole individual, and can handle the truth. Sometimes it takes honesty and directness and a perspective different from your own to see a fresh direction.

We, my daughter and I, are very intuitive and detail-oriented, and come with our own sets of experiences. We have different perspectives, but a keen eye for seeing things.

Bottom line, we truly want to help you, the actor, succeed. We believe that you need to be a well-rounded, well-balanced, thinking individual. We believe that there must be balance and harmony in your life, so that you are in a position to give your best and focus on trying your hardest, armed with knowledge that comes from the other side of the coin.
